# Can’t

> If you had to give up one word that you use regularly, what would it be?

I used to use the word “can’t” quite often until I realized how limiting this powerful word. I was full of excuses at one time in my life, and my automatic response would be “I can’t” to a new opportunity. My life changed when I replaced the limiting word of “can’t” to the limitless word of “can” (or at least “I’ll try”). This shift in perspective has led me to having a growth-oriented mindset. Of course, I’m only human and occasionally fall back into the trap of “I can’t”, especially when I feel overwhelmed. However, I don’t allow it to have a hold of me anymore.
