As I continue with my yoga teacher training, I thought I would share with you a piece of yoga history that I learned about.

The Sanskrit root "yuj," which meaning to **yoke** or **unite**, is where the word "yoga" originates. This illustrates how yoga emphasizes the unity of the **mind, body, and spirit**, reflecting its holistic nature. Furthermore, yoga has a long history. Its practice dates back *thousands* of years, and it has developed into many styles and methods over that time.
